Passports tend to go missing exactly when you need them: at the airport, in a hotel, in a city you don't know. Reporting the loss to the embassy goes much faster when you can give the passport number and issue date. A photo on your phone covers that.
What to add to the note
- a photo of the page with your picture and details,
- the expiry date, so you know when to renew,
- where you keep the original at home.
You can do the same with your driving licence and ID card. Many people put all of them in one note called “Documents”.
Your family will need the location of the original too. A passport is often asked for during the formalities after a death, and searching every drawer at a hard time is stress nobody needs.
In the app: Family and Personal Matters, then Passport, IDs and Travel Documents. The photos stay on your phone and in your own backup, not on our server.
