Your children's and parents' documents: photos for emergencies

At A&E or a government office, a family member's documents are needed straight away. Photos in one note save a lot of stress.

Your children's and parents' documents: photos for emergencies

When a child ends up in A&E or a parent suddenly falls ill, the first questions are about documents: ID numbers, insurance or health card details, previous discharge letters. You rarely have them on you at that moment. Photos on your phone are enough to give the details without going home for the papers.

What to photograph

  • your children's and parents' ID documents,
  • your child's vaccination record or health card,
  • official decisions, for example about a disability,
  • anything else a hospital or council tends to ask for, such as consent to share medical information.

Add them as a separate note for each person, or one shared note called “Family documents”. What counts is finding them in seconds when something happens.

In the app: Family and Personal Matters, then Passport, IDs and Travel Documents. Test results and discharge letters fit better under Medical Documentation.
