Not sure which e-mail account I used when setting up LegacyApp

To access your backup, especially during a fresh installation of LegacyApp on a new device, you no longer need a password. LegacyApp uses a Magic Link login system – simply enter the same email address you used previously. The app will recognize you and send you a unique login link.

How to access your backup: Step-by-step guide

  1. Install the LegacyApp mobile app on your new device.
  2. Enter the email address you previously used in LegacyApp. If you’re unsure which email you used, the easiest method is to search your inboxes for any messages from: @app.legacyapp.rip. The email address that received messages from this sender is the one associated with your LegacyApp account.
  3. LegacyApp will send you an email with a unique Magic Link. Click the link in the message to log in automatically.
  4. Once logged in, go to the “Backups” tab and choose the backup you want to restore.

Done! You will now be able to restore your data from the backup. The app will ask you to enter the Encryption Key you previously used to encrypt your backup. Don’t worry – you’ll be shown the hint you set earlier to help you remember it.
